Extractions
We aim to provide conservative treatment and save as many teeth as possible. In some cases removing a tooth may berequired. If your tooth is too damaged to be saved, then Dr. Asay may recommend an extraction and analternative for replacement.

Oral Cancer Screenings
Oral cancer will typically show up as white or redpatches or lesions inside of your mouth. You may even notice the lesions on your tongue or on the floor of your mouth. Many people experience a hard time swallowing, bleeding in the mouth, or even swelling in your face or neck. Regular oral cancer screenings are performed at each cleaning appointment. Just like other cancers, oral cancer is much easier to treat when caught early.
Root Canals
Root canaltherapy is the process of removing nerve tissue from inside the tooththat has beenbadly injured, infected by bacteria, or has extensive decay. Root canals can prevent the need for an extraction and allow the use of your tooth for many more years of normal use. Sealants
Dental sealants are placed on the biting surface of teeth to help protect against cavity development. Sealants are offered to children as well as adults. Dr. Asay will evaluate your teeth to see if dental sealants are recommended for your teeth.

Mouth guards not only protect your mouth and teeth, but also have other purposes. Mouth guards will help decrease the impact if you get hit in the jaw.
Many people clench their teeth while playing, which can give them Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction(TMD). Mouth guards help to relax your jaw, allowing you to completely focus on the game!
